Eterno Ivica's latest realization amazes everyone: the GRF System was used for The Gladstone.
The Gladstone is a prominent and prestigious residential complex in South Melbourne, consisting of three buildings that offer residents with high-quality servicies and carefully designed living spaces. The project required durable, high-performance materials to create safe and efficient outdoor spaces, so the client contacted directly to Eterno Ivica. The selected products ensure safety, strength and quality by meeting high standards of durability.
Pedestal Prime® supports were used for the project, which were chosen because they met the client's needs perfectly:
- Support height adjustment
Pedestal Prime® supports allow to reach high heights using only 3 products: PR1, PR2, and PR3 are designed with integrated extension so that heights from 30 mm up to 420 mm can be achieved. Specifically, the project required the use of a large number of PR1 supports, the height of which can be adjusted from 30 mm to 65 mm. The entire Pedestal Prime® range offers great versatility: it simplifies installation and reduces the need for additional parts.
In fact, the supports do not require any additional extensions because they are already integrated into the support; this relevant element increases flexibility, significantly reduces warehouse space requirements, and simplifies logistics for distributors and contractors. Preassembled delivery also reduces transportation costs, which benefits designers and installers.
- Quick and safe installation
The installation speed for this project was crucial, as public areas had to be prepared with minimal disruption. The project aimed to achieve efficient installation and a substrate that could be used with any type of finish: porcelain tile, marble, and stone. Eterno Ivica substrates allow quick and safe installation due to the ease of use and adjustment of heights and measurements.
The integrated ergonomic extension makes the installation easer and reduces the time and complexity of on-site assembly. Installation time is reduced as the stand requires no additions of any kind.
- Resistance and Safety
We must consider the heavy pedestrian traffic in common areas, the supports had to be robust and able to support loads without frequent maintenance, so the laying systen adopted was the GRF System. What characterizes this system are robustness and freedom of installation, achieved by installing a substructure of grids juxtaposed together, so as to add an additional level of safety and stability for residents and guests.
Installation was completed with dedicated accessories:
- MINI DM spacers for precise tile installation.
- CR 15 mm crosses to define joints.
- LGH levelers to adapt to uneven surfaces.
- Perimeter spacers to secure edges and prevent shifting over time.
An amazing result
The project involved the installation of over 3500 Pedestal Prime® supports and 800 GRF grids.
The result achieved not only met the requirements for functionality and durability, but also aesthetically transformed the public areas of the complex, improving their attractiveness and practicality.
